Email [email protected] and a person will answer. Say which device you're on and what happened, and if something looks wrong on screen, a photograph of it helps more than a description.
Settings → Children → Add a child. It sits behind the parent lock so a child can't do it by accident. Every setting, sticker and score belongs to one child, so adding a sibling doesn't disturb anyone's progress.
Settings → Handwriting. Each child has their own choice, so one can be learning to print while the other works on joined writing.
Settings → Letter shapes. Most letters offer a second form — a simpler a, a different k — with a live preview so you can see the change before you keep it. If neither matches, Draw your own lets you write the letter yourself and the app tidies it into a traceable stroke.
Yes. Settings → Move to another device gives you a short code made of ordinary words. Type it into Letterling on the new device and that child arrives whole — stickers, settings and all. The code is made on your device and typed in by hand; it doesn't pass through us.
Settings → Time limit, per child. When the limit is reached Letterling finishes the word in progress rather than stopping mid-letter, then says goodbye.
The lock is either a sum or a four-digit code, chosen when you set it. If a code is lost, deleting and reinstalling the app clears it — but that also clears progress, so use a transfer code first if you want to keep it. Email us and we'll walk you through it.
No, and it never uses it. Letterling contains no network code at all. It works on a plane and in a house with the Wi-Fi off, which is partly the point.
Yes, and it's the better way to use it. Letterling ignores a palm resting on the screen while the Pencil is writing, and the Pencil can still tap buttons.
Settings → Start over erases a child's progress and settings, with a confirmation in front of it. Deleting the app removes everything on that device. There's no copy anywhere else — see the privacy policy.
Please tell us — [email protected]. A photograph of the screen, the child's handwriting style, and which letter it was will get it fixed fastest. Letterforms are the part of this app we care most about getting right.
